The best thing ever! lol. It's a Trinidadian dish made with chana peas, curry and some other stuff. It's typically eaten on the street. It's soo good Pretty!!

Mmmm, I lived in Crown Heights a couple summers ago when I was a student and got spoiled by that yumminess. I'm not sure if that pic was supposed to make my mouth water, but it did. Also made my heart ache from missing New York.

Well Nostrand is the mecca of all that. Love macaroni pie! I think I'll make stew chicken, rice, lentils or pigeon peas and macaroni pie this Sunday!I thought you might be in the area when you said you were able to get doubles over the weekend.I lived right off Nostrand and there's so much good food that we just don't have here. When my boyfriend came to New York for my graduation we went on a food crawl in Crown Heights. We had doubles, roti, macaroni pie and sea moss, plus some delicious pastries. Then we had to roll ourselves home, haha. Hollywood Carnival sounds so cool-I'm definitely gonna try to put a trip together. Thanks!

That picture is not doing it justice. LOL But I'm a picky eater. If it doesn't look right, or the texture is off, I can't eat it. I still don't eat ketchup, mustard, relish and etc... I won't eat a banana if it is too yellow It has to be hard and firm.
However, I do want to try this since you all love it.
