The pink ombre on the eye with a touch of Chanel d'ombre in the delicate lilac (can't think of name) might be perfect of the simple, understated look. Or perhaps with the new Mystery one. I think it has soft undertones of pink in it. Gee, I can remember colors, just not names....perhaps with Virgin Rose on the lips??? The color payoff is good, product is outstanding. It is not blow your socks off color, as it comes in the room 20 feet before your face does. No regrets in purchasing.

I hear what you're saying.  I have some Clarins eyeshadows that I love b/c I can start off slowly and build up as I choose.  Most people don't like them though for that very reason.  On the other hand, I've been going through my collection recently and weeding out blushes that don't show up or are too much work getting them to show up.  For me and my way of applying makeup, I think I have less tolerance for this type of product in a blush.  I want to see it and not after 80 brush swipes.  And if it's an extremely pigmented blush, I'll just use a more delicate brush.
This.

No disrespect to anyone liking the ombres, but I'm so perplexed by them. They don't look like anything. And I think I would look like I have pink eye if I used some of them on my eyelids. I'm bad at makeup.

ETA: oops, posted at the same time as @elegant-one. this was not directed at your swatch post.
I don't know if this is a trend or not but Dior released some palettes that were quite shear and people
complained, I think because we're conditioned to thinking highly pigmented is best. Upon reading the literature
with one of the palettes I quickly learned that they were intended to be that way. When I used the palette in
accordance w/those instructions, I understood---I got it. That palette is now one of my favorites.

Reminds me of when I first used the Dior blush that intensifies over time after applied. I kept adding more and more based on I couldn't see any on my face. Then by the time I got to work, the circus was looking for me to be the clown for main tent.

I had a similar experience with that Dior blush when I first got it! Lol

Personally, I'm terrible at returning makeup, especially used. Even if I hated it, I feel awful and guilty. I just sent back CD Cosmo pink to Sephora, and I feel sick about it. Maybe I'm just weird, though.
No you're not. I have that issue too. I returned a Chanel NP because the store took it upon themselves to substitute what I wanted that was not available, with another
NP. Problem is I already had that one. That pissed me off----so I returned it!!!! I'll decide what I want, not what a merchant deems to be a suitable dupe. Who does that?

In Illinois that is against the law. Many a time the SA's will refill a new display with testers of products that are similar and not disclose they are doing this. People then purchase a product thinking it is a new release of this specific collection. The State's Attorney came down hard on the stores that does. Mac is really known for this as is Macy's, at least in Illinois. Since my Daddy works for the govt. he would be up my butt to file a complaint about this.

For those of you who have purchased the new highlighter AND the new lipsticks. If you had to pick one or the other which would you go for? Yes, being a on a restricted funds plan sucks. I do not have the money for both. So is it lips or cheeks, ladies???? Remember I do have the Chanel highlighter from last summer with the lace pattern. That I am doing my best to convince myself it is OK to pass on this highlighter due to this reasoning.....

Agreed. And you never know if the second group of Boys might even include the new shades that were just released that we don't have matches for yet.

I have the same dilemna as you. I have the Chanel one, and I don't use it often because it's rather dark on me, but I really want the highlight shade in the Tom Ford. I thought it was permanent, so held off on buying, but now that I know it's limited edition, well, I don't know what to do!

Definitely the Highlighter! The LS are fun, but nothing I would lose sleep over if I missed. I've been using the HL none stop for weeks now even though I've gotten several other new HLs during that time. It's just really stunning, especially the bronze shade. Plus, it's LE whereas the LS are perm.

Sigh... At first i was not interested in the moodlight duo at all, mainly because i dont like duos, and the darker shade looked to me kinda blah, but after seeing swatches and T's review.. Im an NC25 as her and it looks gorgeous on her so it might look good on me too lol, and now its been comfirmed that its LE, my budget is very tight right now and wont be avaliable to buy it until next week.. Thats if its still avaliable until then
