MAC Vamplify Collection (Aug 26/ Sept 3, 2015)

My local Nordstrom's had all the shades in stock even at 7 PM tonight. I got ABD and Spanking Haute to add to HF and Tuned In. I also picked up matte Whirl lipstick, Labradorable lipstick, and got a foundation sample to test. Hooray for Nordstrom's! I just wish they gave more samples in store. I had ordered HF and TI online and got 3 samples plus the "coral" beauty bag...then I go into the store, spend twice as much, and only get a foundation sample because I asked If I wasn't so impatient I'd always order online.

my nordies said the lipliners were not perm, but I'm not sure they knew what they were talking about. I wasn't too impressed with them. I have these colors in some form already.

I am so bummed. The only MAC I have is a MAC in Macy's, and my store did not receive their vamplify box! It's lost and cannot be located. So no playing and making informed decisions for me.

How good is Macy's at taking returns on makeup? Like if I buy these online and hate them, can I bring them back in-store?

you can take them back without any issues.

:nanas:  I ordered Tuned In too along with Hyper-Fabulous. I am glad you like them. Do you plan to wear them alone or over another lipstick shade? 

Both! I like them both on their own,but do plan on wearing them other ways as well. FYI Tuned In over Morning Coffee is lovely.

So weird, the girl at Dillard's said they were perm. I liked Rebellious but thought it looked too similar to Nightingale.

My nordie's said that the glosses are LE but the lipliners are perm. Hmmmm....

There are a few I want to get, but honestly I have a lot of lipliners and I don't use them much so I probably shouldn't.

I think I'll be returning Spanking Haute. It's just doesn't look great on me and it does that weird thing where it's super obvious on the inside of your lip. I'm not a big fan of that. I'm NC20 for reference...it just really washes me out.

I received Tuned In and Hyper Fabulous yesterday.
Not really sure that I love them....I like Hyper Fabulous more than Tuned In.
I agree with the others...Tuned In is not really very rosy at all. More of a taupe-brownish color. Pretty, but not nearly as spectacular as I had built it up in my mind to be.

I definitely agree about Tuned In! I'm not into the weird, dead lip trend...looks absolutely stunning on others, but on me not so much. Damn that MAC lighting for its trickery. I'm going to return it.

I felt the same way when I tried SH on at Macy's last night. A no-go for me.

Ooooh interesting combo. I tried it with a purple liner and wasn't a fan. Maybe I'll try it with a few more lipsticks before I throw in the towel. I don't have 1993 unfortunately but I'm sure I have something similar.

After a couple days of use, I have to say these did not live up to the hype. Maybe it's just because of the colors I got (ABD, HF,& TI) but as a gloss, it was pretty underwhelming. I get more shine and gloss from NYX's Butter Glosses. ABD is unique to my collection so I'll keep that one at least but I'm having a hard time justifying why I should keep TI or HF if I'm not that impressed. I had such high hopes!
