I went to Sephora and all I got was another Anastasia Brow Definer b/c I'm gonna run out soon and the Dennis Gross Brighten and Firm Eye Cream. I was curious about that cream, but it sold out online. When I went to play with it in the store there wasn't a tester and there was just one left. Here's hoping it works out. Now I'm online trying to see if there's something else I can buy, but it's not looking good. The new Bite lip pencil shades don't come out until after the sale is over.

Oh and my store had two of the MJ bronzers. I wanted to love it so much but a light application looked like nothing on me and built up it looked like dirt. That bronzer was not made for my complexion. Too bad because I love the packaging.

I was considering the MJ bronzer brush or the sephora pro sculpting blush brush and picked sephora instead because 1)i think MJ brush or too expensive quality wise and 2) it is too big for my personal taste.

Nothing to do with Sephora.... but I like your new pic lol!

So just bought the MJ Bronzer direct and used welcome code to get 15% off. Also picked up Flesh and Fantasy Airblush...someone talk me down because I'm considering the bronzer brush....
I have the regular bronzer brush and I use it most days. I keep going back and forth about whether to get the white one. I don't know that I really need two of them. I have other bronzer brushes i like for different bronzers. I tend to use the MJ one with the Armani, Gucci and Laura Mercier bronzers. I never really considered getting the MJ Bronzer but it seems to be popular so now I'm curious about it.

Elegant one, did you tell us where you got 20% off of byTerry?

I'm disappointed to hear that PM products are drying out. I love Mehron, I might have to look for dupes for her stuff.

I've been really slow in makeup this year. At least for myself. I did try Stellar but need to revisit that. The shade I bought was too light.

My complexion has changed. I quit smoking and I think that or a peel I used brightened everything up. My MUFE 173/445 has been too dark and orange lately. Plus, some of these Korean/Japanese products have so much stuff in them my rosacea (or is it eczema) is acting up.

I tried the Nars shadow palette, I think I love it. I'm on the fence with the bronzers, they swatched nicely on my hand but I can't tell if I'm picking up anything with my brush. i

I played around with the Dr. Brandt Pores no more. That stuff is thick, but it worked. I have a raised scar that it help to fill. It wasn't totally gone but I didn't have to do my concealer tricks on it. Thank God it's finally going down.

I do love the MUFE powders. But I'm not buying the rest during this sale. I'll get them some place else.

I've been testing stuff to use in my kit. But that's about it. I'm into skincare right now and was looking at those peels that ball up, tatcha spray, her new moisturizer the Dr. Jart and the PTR one that is similar, J.One primer, Son and Park Beauty water, By Terry Powder, and I'm trying to find the perfect oil... you get the point... stuff like that.

I've even ignored Mac's releases. cues up song *Money's too tight to mention* Plus I'm trying to prepare for The Makeup Show Chicago in June and some other things. I need new foundations, this MUFE HD is flat, very flat. It works well if I mix in an oil it but I want something else. I want the rest of the viseart palettes I don't have. I want new shadows and lipsticks, but specifically for my kit. And I want to pair them with the viseart I already have so I don't have dupes. I want to curate the perfect group of shadows. LOL
I was thinking about the Anastasia brow book but think I'm going to get the Senna one.

I'm also buying direct from sites or wherever I get a discount. Sorry, Sephora and Nordstrom. LOL

You guys still tempt me though... I have a lot of wants, but I'm sitting on my hands. I still want every new lipstick released.

I think I'll have to ignore this Basquiat collex too.
I did see one of the sephora MUA use a brush I might have to go get and not wait until the fall sale.

The new Nars bronzers have become one of my favorites up there with Tom Ford. The formula requires a bit of a stiffer brush though, especially if you want more pigment. A bronzer brush works well to impart a really natural sun kissed look, but I've been also using a denser blush brush at times.

The beautyblender Summer Fling set is up at Dermstore and they're offering 20% off (code is SALE20 maybe?) with free shipping! Don't have to wait for Sephora.com or only get 15% off in store.

So my intention for the sale was to buy things to consolidate my collection. Mainly more MUFE tins and some brushes. They were already sold out of most of the sizes and on the morning on the sale EVERY SINGLE ONE was OOS. *sighs* My haul as a result was much smaller than planned. I got 2 new Amuse Bouche lipsticks from Bite. The colors Porcini and Portabello. Porcini is described as a rich caramel. To me it's a caramel with a rich yellow base. It can read as concealer on some but on me it becomes a strange nude with a little extra. Portabello is described as a deep golden brown. As far as nudes go these are very unique to my collection. I also picked up the Sephora Pro brush in #79 . Online I grabbed the new NARS concealer, the Viseart Petite Pro and a Caudalie serum.

Have you heard that Zoeva is coming to Sephora? What do you think?

Oh yeah, I tried the new coverfx drops. I need to leave those alone. They are a greasy mess on me.

You might want to try mixing the drops with a gel highlighter. I mix mine with
Bourjois Sculpt Light Highlighter. The highlighter alone is just okay. But, together they blend beautifully.

My intention was similar...I had a list of staples...but it turns out many of the staples could be purchased elsewhere when on sale for at least 20% off...so I removed several things and never placed an online order. I ended up going into the store on Saturday instead. Which was a fun experience. Several of the associates at my bigger Sephora recognize me and we chat up a storm. I also got a few samples of the Sunday Riley Good Genes everyone is raving about. Have any of you ladies fallen under that voodoo spell?! I have never considered a skin care product so expensive! I am afraid I am liking it!

In the end I purchased: Bite Agave Lip Mask, MUFE Ultra HD Lip Booster, MUFE Ultra HD Microfinishing Pressed Powder (Banana), and the Touch In Sol Metallist Liquid Foil & Glitter Eye Shadow Duo (Margaret). That's it!

I was given 2 of the VIBR cotton bags with my purchase and redeemed a whopping total of 100 points for a small BECCA Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter. I am happy with my purchases and happy I did not go overboard. :)

I did end up purchasing from Stila direct and SPRING for a Charlotte Tilbury palette..but both purchases were discounted more than 25% when said and done.

I LOVE Good Genes, but I cannot get over the price. It's also difficult to get all the product out towards the end...at least with the one that comes in the set. The bottle feels heavier and is thick, so you think you're getting a bit of product, but there's actually a plastic bladder attached to the pump shoved into the glass bottle. But gosh, that stuff is awesome. In the end, I just couldn't justify it given how fast I would need to replace (even using smaller amounts than the directions indicate).

Does the Ordinary not have something similar? It's basically just a high percentage acid cream.

Thank you Allie! Coming through again for me :tee: pulling me back from the ledge...lol!

I do have The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% ($6.79 for a 1 oz bottle !!!) I believe it be stronger than the GG but it contains none of the supposed "soothing" ingredients.

I am thinking what I need to do is: Use the Ordinary LA 10% straight through for a couple weeks and perhaps find a "soothing" beneficial serum that can be layered over it. It would certainly be a fraction of the cost. Time for a little experimentation.

The other thing I am considering is the use of face oils in my night time regimen Because of course they gave me samples of the SR Luna Oil...sigh...The Ordinary has Squalane Oil and Marula Oil both of which I think would be lightweight enough. I am still on the fence because I do have combo/oily...however my skin is aging and I do have dryer spots around my eyes/top of cheeks.

p.s. For that $105 - $158.00 I could stock up on more than a year's worth of numerous Ordinary products...insane!

I LOVE Good Genes too. I only use it once a week so far, but I can definitely notice a difference ( hello young skin!). I was able to get a ton of good sized samples last month by cashing in my rewards. I also am in love with the Tata Harper resurfacing mask. Amazing stuff!

You're welcome/sorry? I feel like I've been a Debbie downer lately, lol. Don't get me wrong because I love the SR products, and I think they work great. They helped a lot with the hormonal acne I had post-baby #1...hopefully I don't have the same issue this go round. They're just super expensive.

I was an oil skeptic because I was having combo skin/hormonal acne issues, but a night oil helped a lot. I'm looking into the Ordinary's marula oil myself, but it was OOS on Beautylish when I was placing an order.

That mask is dabomb.com and also sooo pricey. I agree about grabbing samples whenever possible.

Not a Debbie Downer at all! I of all people espouse spending money wisely where I can...And jumping off the ledge for a skin care product more than $100 is crazy town for me! But now I have my back-up plan in place. As for The Ordinary, I have always purchased direct from Deciem...but the Marula is sold out there too right now.
