3 FOTDS, a new hair colour and a bright pink dress. What more could a girl need?

I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I haven't done any exciting make-up in a while. I recently got a temporary job at a rather conservative department store in Britain (Marks and Spencers), so I think that loud make-up is out of the question!
I'm sad though, because my contract ends tomorrow.

BUT ANYWAY, so I've been experimenting with a few neutral looks (something I'm CRAP at tbh. I hate neutrals).

So...here's two work looks I did. I prefer the second MUCH more tbh. Woodwinked looks like shit on me. It washes me out.

Painterly p/p
Nylon e/s
Woodwinked e/s
Smut e/s
Solar White e/s
Clinique high definition mascara

Face
Studio Fix fluid NC15

Lips
Nothing (a bit of a recurring theme in these FOTDs tbh).

The next one is another work look I tried out, and I really like it tbh. The pictures do not do it justice I don't think, which is unfortunate.

So...yesterday was Christmas, and one of my presents was a fabulous calendar of images shot by John French in the 1960s of fashion models. They're gorgeous, and the heavily darkened creases in the make-up inspired me to have a wee little go myself.
It looks NOTHING like the one I tried to copy, as it's not dark enough. And it was far darker than the camera shows (wtf is wrong with my camera at the minute?!), but I quite liked it. There was a distinct pinky-purple tinge that my camera didn't pick up at all.

Also, guys, I need your opinion on this dress I bought.

I liked it when I tried it on in the shop, but when I got home, I started to think it made me look trashy? My mum said she thought it makes me look kind of slutty, so now I'm unsure about it.

I'm really at a loss as to whether to return it or not. Bah.

Also, as you can see, I dyed my hair.

Here's a close-up shot so you can see the colour.

Tell me which you guys prefer. Red or brown?
I might dye it back to red. I dunno yet!

Anyhow, sorry for ALL THE PICTURES!
Opinions on everything would be fantastic please.
As would contructive criticism.

Hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!

You are so pretty, i love the make up and your new hair! Love the third look.
I don't think that the dress makes you look slutty at all.

I love the looks! And I don't think that dress is slutty either (I love it!)...if you're worried about it just wear the shrug thing you have on in the pics and try to play up your legs instead of chest area, KWIM?

You look gorgeous in neutrals I dunno why you dislike them so much
winks.gif

Oh and isn't it moms jobs to tell you you look like a slut in almost everything? I don't see why it's slutty, it's not like it ends straight under your butt or that your boobs are on the verge of falling out, you look great! But I agree on keeping the cardigan, like in the pictures

The looks are wonderful and that dress is smokin'! I agree, play up your legs if you are worried about it being a little risque. I am in love with your hair. I am growing mine out and I love the layers you have.

Awh, thanks everyone.

I'm not sure about the dress because...I dunno, it's like...skin tight. And I'm hardly the skinniest person in the world (size 14/16 in the UK, so that's...10/12 in the US).

HMMMM.

I'd wear black opaque tights with it, and obv the cardigan thing (I have beef with my arms, haha.

EEEE. I'll probably just return it tbh.

Any constructive criticism for my make-up?

I really like you better as a redhead though, i think it makes you look more interesting and really enhances your pale skin. And that is definitely a sexilicious dress.

I agree with jinxii. If I had your curves I prolly wouldnt even bother with the dress..I'd wear the shrug and my undies lol

I like the dress... not sure about the belt or black top thing you have with it.
The red hair is very pretty! I love red heads, haha. And the last makeup look is really well done.

Love the hair! But I liked the bright red too, it was pretty.

love the makeup too, but the 2nd look is super hot!
bigheart.gif
blending is great

The dress is super cute (and ample w/ the cleavage!
tong.gif
) but if your mom is gonna give you shit every time you wear it, and if you aren't 100% comfortable wearing it then i'd say return it for something that you looove and would wear all the time without thinking twice, you know? It looks good on you though, but if you'd only admire it in the mirror then it won't be put to good use.

just a thought..

That dress is fantastic!! You need to def keep it. Wearing the shrug and black belt & keeping your eyes neutral will make it a bit more grown up- the length is fine, and it's definitely a dress to wear if you want to get noticed-only thing "slutty" could be the cleav, if you're uncomfy about that button up the shrug a bit. But the pics with the shrug and belt look great, it really makes your body look fabulous.
