I love these looks! You look fantastic in neutrals. And your hair is gorgeous, too. You should keep that auburn-ruby color - it looks great on you!

The dress is fantastic, so if you love it then you should keep it and ignore your mother. If not, then take it back so you're not wasting your money on something you'll never wear.

You don't need any constructive criticism on your neutral looks, they're great. If you think Woodwinked washes you out, maybe stay away from browns and go for more taupe-y colours, like you did in the second look.

IMO, it all looks great, I think neutrals really suit you! As much as brights do

I liked the hair better red, too, but the brown makes you look more seductive (I always think that about brunettes *shrug*).

Also; the dress is hot as, but I can understand your trepidations. I hope you get the confidence to wear clothes like that, because you look great in them!

i love the makeup. other neutrals i like are patina, soft brown worn with embark in the crease and outer V. the dress is very cute and you have the body to wear it!!! I love your hair cut it suites you well. I love Red hair the most though.
