AAARGH lustre lipsticks :( how to get them to show!

almost all my fave colours in ltd collections seem to be lustre

how do you make the colour show up more true?

does prep help atall?

i sometimes blot concealer but that does affect the colour somewhat!

any advice?

I love lustres too! I have to use a liner with them though or they rub off within what seems like 10 minutes. Cremesticks are great because of the wide range of colors and they are easy to fill in with, but they don't last quite as long as pencil liners. I say get a couple of liners to try!

Oh and I can't wear them this time of year because my lips are so dry and chapped and it just makes them worse. It seems to make my lips even flakier and I end up having to scrape off the gross chunks of skin! YUUUCK!

I've found that lip prep & prime helps the lustres to show up more true to the color in the tube and to show up more in general. HTH!

why cant all my fave colours just be satins or amplified creams!!

^^For some real staying power and color payoff, try the Prep+Prime Lips, then line and fill in with pencil, then top off with lustre lipstick. For some shine, top that with just a tiny bit of gloss. The key to this look is to go LIGHT on all products. This many layers can stay for a long time, but don't overdo it. HTH!
