I am determined to master this. I used Petrilude's (from YT) glue stick technique and it turned out better than the first time I tried it. But, there is definite room for improvement. I need to smooth it out the glue so that the texture is more even. I think if I go over the edges with a wet q-tip while it's drying I can blend those out more. Hopefully the 3rd time will be the charm. I popped on some green and teal shadow as well as some green glitter just to experiment.

How did it work out? Any tips or tricks you can share?

Girl, you are asking the wrong person.
I had a MAC Senior Trainer guiding me through it and basically just did what he told me to do. We used some of type wax (can't remember the name) and then full coverage foundation and powder over top. It's hard work getting it nice and smooth.
