I just thought I'd post this here for those who are applying:
She told me that MAC asks and looks for makeup experience/training, but to not consider that technical training from a cosmetics school, etc. (which is what I always consider "experience" to be). She told me to put down any type of work I've done including friends, theatre (which was the only experience she said she had) and the emphasize your love of MAC.
We know MAC doesn't necessarily look for full on retail experience, but it helps...so just by showing your knowledge in the application would be good.

Forgot to add that she alaso said to apply at ALL the MAC's in your location to better your chances.
