Hey guys! I'm new to the forums and I absolutely have to say I LOVE this forum!!!!!
I have a question though, has anyone ever tried MAC's Lipstick in Angel? I'm wondering if it's just me or did they alter the color? I had originally purchased the l/s from the Luxe collection (2006 Hoilday) in the Pink Set that came with the tiny black fringed pouch, the Plum Dandy l/s and the LE Rose Champagne l/g; I remember that when I'd originally bought it, the color was lighter on me, and the shade was more pink (a slightly cooler shade of pink), but unfortunately I lost it when I went clubbing.
And it was my favorite lipstick too.
The other day I stopped by a MAC store to recycle my old containers and I'd asked the MA for a l/s in Angel, but I didn't have a chance to try it on because it was closing time, and I'd assumed that the color would be the same. So I snatched up a Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz (I love the sparkles!) and the free Angel l/s and left. When I got into the car I was so happy to finally get a new Angel l/s, so I immediately opened the tube to look at the color and it looked kind of different, I thought that might've been normal because l/s usually look different when they're in the tube and when they're applied, so I applied on my lips, but it still looked different.
I thought it was perhaps the lighting in the parking lot (it was dark out) so I didn't think anything further. Afterwards I went to eat dinner with my boyfriend and little sister, and when we were done, I went off to the bathroom to reapply the lipstick and it still looked different; the color was warmer than before and it was maybe only a shade lighter (it kind of blended into my lipcolor and was barely noticeable) and the shade was starting to bend towards a corally-pink sort of color. I remember before the shade was perhaps 2 shades lighter than my lips and that the color was slightly cooler and more mainstream pink; I could understand that the l/s may appear lighter/paler and cooler on me now that it's summer and I have a tan, but darker and warmer? Anyone else have this problem?
