If so, how long did you have to wait?
I left my Macys position and the cosmetics manager at Bloomies wants to hire me. The only hitch is that you have to wait TWO MONTHS before being hired even though they're sister stores (both owned by Federated).
She said she really wants me there, so she's going to try to work some sort of freelance deal out. I just have to do a phone interview with the AE and meet the counter manager. I'm not going to give out the name just yet, but let's just say it's one of the BIG THREE EL companies, so I should have no problem making my goals or commission. Another good thing about Bloomies is that they only want you to try to open up two cards a week rather than Macys four for full timers.
Also, what rate should I ask for working for Bloomies? That's the only thing I didn't discuss with her yet. The commission is the same as Macys - three percent.
