Anyone ever see Mac lipstick in 3.8g (.13 US OZ) Size?

My friend just came from a photo shoot overseas. She was given a gift bag. Inside were some Mac Frost lipstick. It was bigger than the ones I have. It was .13 US OZ. I have never seen Mac come in this size in US. Is this new or just something models get?

I'm not sure, but this one might be fake. I don't wanna trash your haul but I've seen a lot of fake make-up from make though e-bay, so they might as well sell it in stores.

I have to agree with Sanne on this one. I've came across some faux MAC on Ebay. Not only they have faux lipstick, they have powders and eyeshadows as well.

SUcks you're getting ripped off your money.

That looks a lot like the "fakes" on ebay. I dont think that it's fake, I think its probably something they just gave her, like you said. I think its just something that they are promoting overseas..

I doubt that the people putting on the photo shoot are going to give her "fake" mac stuff in the gift bag. There are tons of makeup items that are not sold on this side of the ocean.

exactly what I was thinking. I think that if it was an ebay purchase maybe that would be different..but being that it was from a shoot or whatever I think theres a good possibility its just something that we personally havent seen..

I doubt it's fake. It's top quality Mac stuff. Just curious if anyone seen this before. She's always bringing in stuff I never see in these stores from photoshoots. Some give to her in gift bags in the United States.

I have never heard of MAC fakes. Is that for sure? Or just ebay myth?Anyone ever bought a fake and how did you know? What was the quality like? Sorry for the questions just suprised to know that people fake a $20 lipstick.

I phoned a Mac rep. and they sent me over to consumer affairs. They were really knowledgable about the products. I didn't ask if it was real or not because both of us think it's 100% real. I just wanted to know if this was a 'special" promotional item or a free selling one.

They said they have totally different lines internatinally and different sizes. This particuliar one is marketed for Western Europe and Asian countries. She said it was indeed real. She also said you "might' see it in North America because a few people bring them over in duty free shops but this size is rare here. Mystery solved.

Ive seen fake mac pigments, and even a fake shadow, but never really anything else. I got burned a really long time ago before kitschmas was re-released, bought some off ebay and it turned out to be lavender powder of some sort with glitter in it...
There are some questionable auctions but I dunno about faking other stuff...Im sure if its a sample theres more oportunity to fake it but I dont see how with a full size item..Unless they're in the business of counterfeiting...
