Are most people wear a NC shade in mac?

I feel that the MA's always seem give me NC colours.
I mean i am hispanic, olive skinned etc etc
around the 35- 50 colour range depending on the season etc
I have been given colours like nc41, nc45, nc 43 and even nc 50 one summer when i was back home in brazil for like 4 months haha .
They always seemed ok to me, as i trusted them.
Recently one MA gave me NW35, and it looked AMAZING, I was shocked as i have brown olived toned skin.
is it possible for me to be olive skinned and wear an NW?
its so weird!!!
anyone else experience this?

as the colours get darker- it becomes hard to keep NC really yellow based and NW really red based as they both wind up bwing around the same orange-y tan undertone until NW45+ or NC50 when they go more brown in my opinion.. I can wear NW 35 or NC 42 etc etc
