Ok so I just bought my very frst ever eyeshadows(I got all the NN eyeshadows and pigments) but I don't own any brushes and I went to the mac website to buy some but they have soooo many to choose from.I don't know which ones to get.I was thinking of getting the 222,219,227,217 and the 239 but I don't know.So my question is what are the basic eyeshadow brushes that I need and what are your must have eye brushes?

Thanks

In my own opinion for a starter i'll say : 239,217,219, and if you can 242/252

MAC brushes are the best! (IMO...

You'll need:
a 239 for depositing rich color
a 219 for the crease...blend the crease color into your outer corner with this brush, tracing the shape...it'll look harsh at first, but you'll blend it...
a 224 or 225 for blending the crease color upward and inward
a 227 for the highlight color on your brow bone (looks HUGE but it works great!)
if you use eyeliner a lot, pick up a 266 too

Hope this helps!

The ones I use the most:

217 to apply eye shadow
219 to apply e/s in the crease and line my eyes
224 to blend colors on my crease
242 for pigments

i use 239, 219, 217, 224 pretty much every day. 239 for colors on the lid, 219 for the outer corners and/or crease, 217 for blending, and 224 for blending/highlight. i also really love the 217 for undereye concealer. hth!!

Re: Basic eye brushes????

242 (for lid color, works great for shadows and pigments, LOVE!!)
217 (crease/outer "V")
219 (defined crease, outer "V", smudging, etc.)
224 (blending, highlighting)

I feel like those are basic, but I must admit I also love the 227 for highlighting. It's huge, but I use it for a brow highlight as well as highlighting my cheekbones.
