Best Camera for Professional Makeup Photos

I've decided it's time to get a new camera to take pictures of my work, and I'm in need of some advice. I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the options out there now. From what I gather, a DSLR camera is the best way to go. I assume any DSLR will take great close-up shots, as opposed to the standard "point and shoot" cameras that need to have a macro setting for that kind of thing. If any artists here have recommendations for an easy-to-use (or easy-to-learn) camera that will take professional quality photos, I would very much appreciate your input!
