I'm looking for a nice non-matte dark red lipstick that's comfortable to wear. It doesn't have to be MAC, but I do live in the UK, so brands are a little more limited for me!

I LOVE Sleek Pout paints - I like to custom mix a dark red with the bright red (pin up) and the blue (peek a blue), but there's also a darker red you can buy. they last forever and are really comfortable to wear. they do dry down to a matte finish, which i happen to like, but you can just put some balm or gloss on top! here's a post i did on them
you could also try the revlon red velvet lip butter, it's a very pigmented glossy deep red. here's a swatch on my blog.

I really like the Laura Mercier lip stain in Mulberry, it's a nice dark red that you can build up and it looks really nice.
