For those who use a powder still to set your foundation, or at least in just your T-zone, which powder works best for setting Pro Longwear?

My apologies if this is posted in the wrong spot! It's been ages since I last posted, and the board has definitely changed!

Actually what I've heard and experienced, pro longwear is best without setting powder. I always set my foundations, so it was difficult for me to try not to powder this one too, but it is better alone, at least on my normal skin. It sets nicely on its own. I don't know if it would be the same with extremely oily skin. If you still want to powder, I would suggest something very lightweight, like Mac's Prep&Prime loose powder, and using it with a very light hand.

Thanks for responding! I normally use NYC Smooth Skin Translucent only in my T-zone. I'll try it again tomorrow without powder. I just want to make sure I love it before I buy it!

What about primer? Yay or nay on using one with this? I used P+P SPF 50 with it the other day, but I reckon I'll try it without primer too.

The best way to find out what suits you and how you feel best, is to try it with primer, without primer, with powder and without powder. I think it was okay with primer, but maybe even better without. :) I find that I must moisturize well before using pro longwear, as it sometimes can make skin look more dry as it is.

Trial and Error works best in finding the right combination. I found that what works for someone may not work for someone else.

I am an NC15-20 and in my bag I always have Blot Powder in Medium and Select Sheer Pressed Powder in either NW15 or NW20 , I find that setting my foundation with an NC15 or 20 powder will only make me look more yellow (especially in photos) whereas the NW15 or 20 powder neutralises my skintone.

I also made the mistake of setting my pro longwear foundation with Studio Fix powder in NC20 when I was a bridesmaid and in the photos, my face looked so YELLOW! you live and learn!
