Black and white outfit help!

im going to be wearing a black and white dress to a formal family event and will be having my makeup done at the MAC counter, i trust the ladies there completely, but never like to go without any ideas of my own, just in case i dont like what shes doing etc. my dress is predominantly black but has white piping around edges and sleeves and white beads/embroidery around the neck line. i have nc25/30 skintone and dark brown hair. soo any ideas anyone?!!? also this will be a day event, so nothing too OTT ??!? Yes, quite hard to think of an eyeshadow colour (aside from black & smokey) that would go.
I think a great fluidline (with tiny wings) and matte dark red lip like dubonnet (but it depends of what red suits your skin tone!)
