Blending

How do most of you blend your eye shadows? Do you use a transition color or just go with what you are using?

I feel like that is a personal preference and it depends on what look you're going for but personally I feel using a transition color first really pulls a look together. It makes sure there aren't any harsh lines and makes blending other colors easier. HTH
