Hello all!

I'm looking for recommendations for myself that will make me look like my face is glowing! I really love that glowy look but everything i've used just makes me look shimmery, not glowy.

I especially want a blush that will do the trick of making me glow, and any tips on how to apply it since i'm new to the makeup scene and can use all the help i can get! it's not too bad the way i do it now, it just seems like i really have to use a LOT of layers of blush to look like i'm wearing any. i was thinking about getting nars' orgasm. any suggestions?

i'm an NC40 by the way, and i hate wearing foundation but some times i do use mac's select tint with spf.

Here's a picture of me too if that helps!

You have very similar skin tone as mine. I think Dollymix will work wonders on you as well, and top it off with some pearlizer as highlight for evening time.

Aren't they a Novel Twist item, the warm or cool pearlizer with mini kabuki? You might have better luck on the Nordstrom web site.

Bobbi Brown Shimmerbricks...especially in Rose or Sandstone
I know you don't want to be shimmery...but these bricks are great for the glowy look.

Definitely check out Nars' counter and test out all of the colors! I find Orgasm to be light even on my NC20 skin...so you might want to see if there are any other ones that might suit you better.

Nars also has these things called Multiples...you can use it as an eyeshadow base, highlighter for your cheeks, and your lips.

I definantly agree with the Shimmerbricks. I absolutly love my Gold one. (it LE though and I think its still avaliable) Apricot is a nice color also. They add a glow and don't add glitter chunks to your face like an MSF would. The only MSF that might work is Lightscade but thats DC and even that doesn't that much of a glow to my skin which is NC35. I wouldn't get Nars Orgasm. It doesn't show at all on my skin. Its a pretty color for the girls who can wear it, but it simply is too light for my skin and your darker than I, so it wont work well for you either. So you best bet in my opinion is Shimmerbricks! I <3 them!

Try Smashbox soft tints, they have a warm soft sheen, instead of a shimmer, so it gives more of a glow from within look.

Trace Gold! I love it

Since I think it pretty much blends into my skincolor, and doesn't show off much color, it just looks glowy on me

And since no real color shows up, I can use it all over

Try Tarte's Cheek Stain. You just dab the desired amount of product on your cheeks, and bam! You're got a healthy glow!
