Alright. This is a truthful post.

But with that said...
I assume we are all civilized people here, and we know how to conduct a conversation politly.
I've been browing rating communites on livejournal. Though, in my opinion, I usually find them very disappointing as it proves how vain and shallow people are, as regard to their own low self-esteem, and thus need to boost it by putting others down.
Though I have to admit I have applied to some before, i guess every now and then its fun to see what others think. After all, in my high school, I was voted "Most Likely To Appear On A Runway".
But upon applying to a rating community recently, (shame on me
), Though I have gotten alot of "Yes's", No application ever goes with a "no". And the reason one of these girls gave is...
"Boys SHOULDN'T EVER wear makeup."
And I thought to myself. Yes, she is from the mid-west. It is more understandable. But still. I noticed a boy wearing makeup that applied to ANOTHER community, though he was accepted, a girl made the same remark. Upon which, there was 5+ comments saying the same thing.
Now I understand that these ARE rating communites and people are allowed to say what they want, and how they feel. Though in my opinion, i feel that remarks such as those are the result of seclusion from cosmopolatin areas, a strong belief in religion, or just a lack of culture.
Or perhaps someone who has just never shopped at a MAC counter/freestanding. Haha. After all, let's face it. Sometimes the male MA's are even better than some of the girls.
However, It is not only gay men who wear makeup, as straight men do to. I know a very straight bodybuilder who wears foundation, as does the star of our school's varsity soccer team. (Sssh! No one knows that but me!)
Men on runways, ads, movies, television shows, news reporters, they all wear makeup in one way or another.
Make-up is not always about the color. Make-up is a way to improve confidence. A man who looks clean and well kept is more likely to attract someone who is dirty and smells like cat pee. Well, unless youre into that thing.
So now tell me, what are your views on men in make-up? Are you for it? Against it?
Now as long as you voice your opinion in a respectful manner, im sure we can all agree. Don't be afraid to you are against it if the majority is for it. And vice versa.
