Breaking out from using eye products on face?

Is this common? I know that if something is eye-safe, that means it's technically face-safe...but can you break out from using an eyeshadow as a highlighter/blush, etc? Any personal experiences?

I've used eyeshadows as highlighters before without any issue. Although I wouldn't think making eyeshadows non-acnegenic and non-pore clogging wouldn't be as much of a concern as it for face products, so there might be an issue for some people?

I like to use some eyeshadows as highlights - face products designed to highlight can often be a bit on the glittery side, whereas eyeshadows just give a nice glow. Never had any problems here.
