I bring inspirational photos to a lot of my shoots. I don't think it's unprofessional at all unless you do copy the look. Bringing inspiration helps all members of the team get on the same page and gives you a specific type of vision. I've actually been on a large amount of shoots where the Creative Director brings an actual inspiration board with ideas for hair, makeup, wardrobe and lighting.
