brown eyeshadow

I'm looking for a basic brown eyeshadow that I can use as a liner or in every day looks. it would be great if it didn't have any red undertones to it though. would texture make a difference for lining vs just using it as a shadow? as we all know the swatches on the mac site are bad, and I may be heading out today and stop by mac - but I need this brown to do my makeup saturday for my prom. ah what should I get?!

i know this is NOT gonna help, but i wish you could get ahold of the mac holiday pallette from like a year ago i think? it had this brown called showstopper, i dono if they have it anymore, it sounds like it would be perfect for you! but uhh mystery may work...definitely juSs go check out the colors and have the MA test them on you and see if you like them!

definitly mystery or brun! they are pretty similar but I tend to like mystery better. makes a great liner, brow filler and even crease color

if you can get your hands on rummy, i think its the best dark, true brown
woodwinked is a nice shimmery brown

I just passed on Rummy to someone who couldn't be pursuaded for anything else but was suggested Espresso if they can't find it as it should be fairly similar. HTH!
