Brown-ish lip look

So I went to the MAC store where I purchashed VG 2. And I didnt say anything, but the lady that helped had a really cool brown look going. Normally I would think that wouldn't look good on some one of my skin tone, but she had the same skin tone, and hair color even... It was noticably brown, and very glossy from what I could see. But I'm telling you, I loved it!

What do you think you could use to get that?

Beaux Lusterglass is a lovely wearable sheer nude brown, at least on me (NW20). If you paired this with a soft brown lipliner, maybe Chestnut, well blended, I think that would be a pretty look.

Not sure how intense the MA's look was? Was it a dark glossy brown or more of a soft sheer brown?

Being fairly pale, Half 'n Half is a fairly neutral nude-brown on me. I wear a clear gloss over it. It's a nice look.
