Brush flat, not fluffy, after washing

hi guys,

i have a blending brush that got all gunked up. it was rec to swipe in evoo on a paper towel, then wash with baby shampoo as normal. after washing, its all flat and smooshed and no longer a fluffy blending brush. what should i do?

You could try to obtain a brush reshaper; its like a goop that you can use to get to reshape the bristles into the shape that you want. I think you can get it at the craft store near the paint brush section; but I am not positive. HTH!

I'd recommend washing it again, you may not have gotten all of the oil out...I usually use a mild facewash after using any kind of oil on my brushes, it seems to work better at getting the oil out. You could also try a drop of dishwashing liquid, but be sure to really rinse well, and use a conditioner afterward (rinse that thoroughly as well), because the dishwashing liquid can dry the bristles.

I agree with ForgetRegret... sounds like all the product/cleaner isn't off the brush. Try rewashing it again

Or the brush is still simply damp from being washed and needs to finish drying.
