i actually purchased from them twice... when i first ordered the brush guard i really didnt expect much but it actually does a terrific job to keep my brushes from fraying and it's easier to dry with the brush guard....
i also use the medium size brush guard on my 187 to convert it to a 188 (another tip from enkore)
see, it's so versatile! you should definitely get them to protect your brushes...

I saw these on the coastal scents website over the weekend. Is it just me, or do these brush guards remind anyone of those styrofoam net wrappings on fruit at the grocery store? Immediately, I thought of these:

I bought two packs of these on July 3...shipping to Jamaica was 1.75...they came yesterday! (I ordered a brush from sigma last month on the 23rd---not a sign of it) and they are awesome.
My Crown brushes look like brand new now! I highly recommend.

I dont recommend these for travel. I tossed a brush in my bag with the guard on, and i suppose the guard got shifted the wrong way with all the movement and the hairs got all frayed looking. I fixed it by adjusting the guard, but its pretty alarming to see my precious brush looking like it has split ends!!

ah ok then! i think i'd get upset if i saw my brushes all bend out of shape like that! i got upset enough when a pigment has stained my 139 brush and no matter what i use to wash it, it still has a freaking green tint!

believe me, its especially annoying since the aim is to protect the brushes with the guard

I love mine! I use them when drying certain brushes that tend to splay out as they dry. Especially good for the 187 & 217!!!

I love my brush guards! However, I also have many brushes and this began to get a bit pricey as I tend to wash them all at the same time. I also ran into this video that may be helpful if you do not want to incur the cost of a brush guards (see above).
