search for brushes, i swear there are about 10 other threads on this, particularly in the 'recommendations' forum.

still, i'll go through em again.

face:
--187 for everything. great for blushes, MSFs, any emollient or powder based product.
--150 powder brush.
--168 for blush. particularly contouring. better than 129, IMO.
--190 foundation, though i have seen cheaper alternatives.

eye
--239 is my holy grail brush. packing on color, pigments, anything.
--217 for sheer color washes and blending.
--266 for brows and liner.
--252 is a good all-around brush as well.

316 retractable lip brush. works great for lips, as well as eyelining, and is covered, which is great for purses.

I personally love these:

For the face I use the 129 and the 187, both mainly for loose powders, blushes, and mineralized skinfinishes.

For the eyes I use:
239 and 242 for applying to the lids and blending colors.
219 for the creases.
209 for applying fluidline eyeliner, or any other eyeliner!

For the lips:
I use the 316 to apply glosses over my lipstick and to blend all the colors on my lips!

Everyone uses different brushes, it all depends on how you feel the brushes and which ones you like, but I hope this helps you make your decision a little!!!

My small arsenal includes:

116- Small Blush brush. I use this for StudioFix & powders. It can also be used for cream products.
129- Blush brush. My fave of the blush brushes. Soft diffused application, never streaky or racing-stripe.
168-Contour brush. Great for defining the cheekbones, but can be too streaky.
190- Foundation brush. A must.
217- Eye Blending brush. This does it all, from all over washes to highlights & crease blending. Can be used with Paints & cream products as well.
219- Eye Pencil brush. Excellent for defining the crease, lashlines, & creating smoky smudges. Also makes a decent concealer brush in a pinch!

My next purchases will be the 187 (very versatile), 209 (for use with Fluidlines), 224 (the most popular crease brush) & the 316 lip brush.

Now is a good time to pick up one of the Pattermaker brush sets at Nordstrom:

#1 - 239, 219, 266, 316, 129
#2 - 190, 212, 252, 194, 168

Five brushes for $47! I'd recommend #1.
