calling all color specialists, i need your help!

so my hair right now is colored a very dark redish brown. not really red unless the light hits it, then its like BAM red. anyways i am wanting to go more of a golden brown but i don't know how that would react with the red in it. I just don't want my hair turn orange or green. so what do you ladies think i can do, can i go to a golden brown now or should i wait forever til it all grows out?

Well, color doesn't lift color it would depend on what level you are and which level you are going for...so your best bet would be to let it fade out for a while or use a color extractor. Thats what I would do. OR you would have to do foils with lightener and then use color on those pieces. Good luck! =)

i used a box color, clairol something or other and it has faded a lot! and i do color myself i just don't want to mess it up haha.
