The best advice I have is NOTHING overly shimmery or glittery. That stuff doesn't photograph well. I wish I had a pic of her to help you out a bit better...Maybe you could go shopping WITH her and have her BUY her own makeup? This way, you won't have to really use yours. Bronzes and corals are awesome colors to start with..
