Can't reply to private messages

Hi, I keep filling in the reply box at the bottom of the private message thread, but when I press send a box pops up saying "Please enter your message" I have tried it on 2 different computers with the same result. Please help, I have a sale thread running ad can't reply to people interested in my items Thanks!

Also seperate problem, when I post a new reply to threads or start my own all my formatting disappears. My paragraphs all merge in to one. I had to type all my sale thread out in html commands in order to format it. My account has gone crazy!!!
