Oh..I have to ask for samples??!! And you get TONS without asking So jealous! Heheee I love getting samplers too...is just so much fun even if it is something I already have I think the nicest ones I got were the lipstick samplers - Coco Shines and a couple of red ones from the Rouge Allure Intense range. Tiny little squares with a small brush. Very convenient for travel. Chanel online usually has the mascara and perfumes - I wish they had more options like how Sephora does.I think others here have commented they don't often get samples from Chanel counters without asking. Shopping with the same SA does help. I didn't know they charged for bags when making a purchase. How gauche!
Oh I don't get Chanel samples from Nordies. Even when i was working directly with the counter manager. My SA works in Advanced Skin Care so I get Kate Sommerville, Arcona, Miracle Skin Transformer, etc. I "met" her when I was ordering NARS from the Anniversary sale. It is so tacky they charge you 10 cents for a bag when you are buying something. It would turn me off from shopping there.Oh..I have to ask for samples??!! And you get TONS without asking So jealous! The SA always asks me if I would be needing a bag to put everything in and that it is charged (10 cents, I think). I don't need a bag most times - I just throw them away once I get home - but it's so odd that they would want to charge that extra bit - unless it's to avoid unnecessary paper waste, like how a lot of stores do with plastic bags.
I think they'll start to pop up in more Saks stores, but I'm not sure.So how confident are we that this palette will show up in a store somewhere? I really would rather swatch in person before buying for $80.
Plus I just got the LMdB palette with a lot more shadows in it for only $15 more. Makes me wonder if this new Chanel palette is really necessary.
I passed on the palette. I'm only interested in the polishes. I'm still waiting for Saks Chevy Chase to get Eastern Light.Oh I don't get Chanel samples from Nordies. The Hong Kong palette does look quite basic. I'm sure we all have colors similar to what they're offering. I think I'm going to pass on it.
I don't really buy much from that counter anyway Oh...Karen has swatches of the palette...she manages to make everything sound/look amazing, but I am happy skipping this one....saving more for the collections coming up in April.Oh I don't get Chanel samples from Nordies. I really do think texture/pigment-wise Chanel has much better shadows and palettes...but then, people say that about so many Chanel polishes too....I'm trying to convince myself that I don't want that palette. The colours look wonderful, but I feel like I already have some versions of them in my collection.
Rads, I know this is the Chanel thread, but I came across your review of Dior Creme Abricot. Do you still like it and recommend it? I'm thinking about investing in it for my dry cuticles.I really do think texture/pigment-wise Chanel has much better shadows and palettes...but then, people say that about so many Chanel polishes too....
Sorry didn't see this earlier! I love it, and it's really really good...but, I recently bought Nivea Lip Butter (it comes in a tin)...and I tried that on my cuticles, and that works too, and it cost me a grand total of $1 I hope I don't sound cuckoo for suggesting this, but do give the Nivea one a try and see if that helps. Of course the Dior version is better since it is meant for the cuticles only. It is quite heavy and feels quite balmy going on..and your fingers will be sticky for a while (which is why Dior recommends bedtime use I guess)...but really like it except, well it is priceyRads, I know this is the Chanel thread, but I came across your review of Dior Creme Abricot.
