Ok, so I'm totally late to this party, but I figured I'd toss in that I'm from Lake Geneva, WI, which isn't too far from Chicago (70 miles, maybe). I like going to the MAC store in Deer Park, myself..the girls there are sooooo sweet! But if I really want a well rounded shopping experience, I'll go to Woodfield Mall...I love that place.
Tell me its true that Chi-town is getting a Pro store. I'm still a little upset that there isn't one...I mean, it's a big place!

Just moved to chicago suburbs. My MAC is the counter at MACYs at Woodfield Mall or the freestanding at Oakbrook. I love going to the CCO and DF&CO in Aurora. I work downtown Chicago, so sometimes I'd go to the one of the counters at Macy's on State St.
Would love to go shop with other girls in Chicago!

I just moved to the Chicago area a few months ago from Oregon - I'm living in Saint Charles. So far I've been to the counter in Fox Valley and Spring Hill Malls, plus the stand-alone in Oakbrook and Woodfield and CCO in Aurora (I couldn't believe it when I found the 217 there; I love it!). I tend to like the Oakbrook one just because it's not as crowded, but I know Woodfield is moving to another area of the mall. I thought there were only the two free-standing stores in the area (plus one in Chicago), but then I found out there are something like 5 or more!
How do you get invited to the parties? Just shopping at the stores? That makes me want to visit the stand-alones only, because at Macy's and Nordstrom they don't ask your name. Bummer.
I've been looking at places to move, and am hoping to move either into the city or closer to it (I've been looking a lot at Naperville). It would be nice (though I suppose a mixed blessing!) to be closer to a store. Now I just need to find some work so that I can go on a celebratory shopping spree...

Hey fellow Chicago girls!
I was wondering if any of you were going to attend the class next Saturday at the MAC counter in Nordstrom's on Michigan Ave (The Northbridge mall, I think?). I signed up for it yesterday, the 11:30 time slot. Apparently Gordon E. is going to be teaching it.
If any of you are interested and haven't signed up yet, I suggest calling them. They only had a few slots left for both the 11:30 and 3:00 times.
Anyway, I'd love to meet up with more Chicago MAC-loving fans. If you're going, let me know!

Oh man! I think now I've figured out how to subscribe to threads, but I didn't know how to before. If I had known this was happening, I would have called instantly to sign up for the class. Are these classes for MA's only, or can the general public attend if they register? Are they free, or do they cost money? How often do they have them?.... darnit. And sorry for the barrage of questions.

Ah, thanks for the info! That makes me feel better about not missing it (especially since after I posted, I realized that 'next Saturday' was actually yesterday). Since I'm still looking for work, I shouldn't be spending $150 on things like that, so this makes me feel much better about missing it!

Hey Chicago Girls! I'm from the SW suburbs and usually go to MAC in Orland Park and Bolingbrook. Also been to the one on Oak St. I just started getting into makeup a bit more and need some shopping buddies. My friends aren't really into it. Send me a message if anyone wants to shop!
