I'm going to europe with school for two weeks so I don't want to carry around my bottle of foundation when I could get a compact that I could bring with me on the plane. I have dry/acne prone skin and I'm pretty fair too (but I'll probably tan a little bit before, yeah yeah no lectures please) We're going to France, Switzerland and Italy and we'll be doing a lot of walking so it has to be long lasting. So... any recs?

Hahaha and I probably should say that I don't need foundation that bad, but I want to look good in photos!

If you're not one of those people REALLY hurting for some foundation, you may want to try MAC Studio Fix Powder. I wear this stuff on a daily basis, and it actually has pretty damn good coverage, especially for a powder. Powders also won't melt off your face as quickly or as noticeably as a liquid would. Plus it'll be easy to fix if you have your compact with you. The Studio Fix Powder is a matte finish, and it has always looked good in pictures for me (except for that time I bought the wrong colour...but that's my own dumb fault), you won't look all ghosty. And it has a mirror and this cool "underground" spony thingy so all you need will be in the compact (believe it or not, I've bought non-MAC foundation compacts before that had no sponge OR mirror). If you're looking at MAC, the only other compacts they have are Full Coverage (too much for daily use, meant for photography), Select Moistureblend (I find it quite sheer and also pretty shiny), and Studio Tech (known to be very bad for photos). I also prefer to spend the few extra bucks on MAC because when shopping for drug store brands, I always seem to buy the wrong colour, since I can't try them on. Then it's just a waste of money.

If you would prefer a drugstore brand, Revlon makes some pretty good foundation compacts as well, though I find they're only a few bucks cheaper than the MAC ones anyway. I've also been pretty happy with the L'Oreal True Match foundations, which are pretty reasonably priced.

If you want to look good in pictures, just remember to stay away from mineral foundations or foundations that have minerals like titanium dioxide or zinc as main ingredients. Don't worry about SPF, it's your friend, minerals (in photos anyway) are not.

My vote: MAC Studio Fix Foundation

MUFE Matte Duo Foundation or NARS Powder Foundation! You will not look greasy, and the colours are so natural!

wow, thank you so much! I definatly don't need that much coverage so I don't need Full coverage, and I'm shiny enough so Moistureblend is a no go, and I want to look h-o-t in my pictures so no Studio Tech (which i had a sample of and i think it made me break out)
So MAC Studio Fix Foundation it is! Wish me luck =)
