ive never been complimented by an ma, but ive had people say i should be a make up artist! so that feels pretty good

a lot of people say they like my makeup and friends always want me to do theirs for prom or party or something like that. Everyone says they could see me working for mac 
So that gives me a lot of confindince!

Being an MA myself, I do get complements (thank god or I'd be in trouble..he he) but this one time I was in the mall where a MAC store is and I did my own makeup and everything and this lady at the info. desk goes, "MAC must've done your makeup because you got blue and green on and it's all funky and sparkly...that's how they do everybody." stressing 'everybody' and I was like do I take that as a compliment or not???!! I was happy she thought it looked good enough to work for MAC but I don't wanna be cookie cutter ya know!

I was so psyched yesterday....I went to the MAC Pro Tour event at Nordie's, and when we came back downstairs to the MAC counter, I had three different customers and two MAC MA's compliment me on what a FAB job they did on my makeup upstairs.
I was thrilled to be able to tell them that I had done my own face that morning myself! The ultimate compliment!!!

I particularly like it when someone stops me on the street to say props on the make-up, then a bit of gentle questioning reveals that they're looking for a make-up artist to do their wedding/formal/night out/etc.
I get to feel like a fancy-pants and pick up more bread and butter work. Win!

I was at work and there was a guest who complimented me on my makeup and then we started getting into this whole big convo about makeup. We talked about BE, and then i told her that i love MAC, she use to be an MA. Then she told me to do bright lips and dramatic eyes and go ask for a job *hahah* My ego was boosted.
An MA complimented me which for me, was the compliments of all compliments. Then later, as i was testing some lippies, a girl thought i was an MA and started to walk up to me, then she realized that i wasnt wearing black.
I love it *hehe*

I do from my friends and boyfriend alot, but like the others said, it really means alot when a MA or even a stranger compliments my application!
I've had a few MA's at my counter compliment on my m/u a few times and it always feels super good! Makes me feel like maybe I could be one someday

a few weeks ago when i was in my local supermarket, a lady approached me and said my makeup was so nice and she loved the colors. i told her thanks and that the makeup was from MAC. she never even heard of mac. i told her where i get it in my local macy's counter. the whole time i was in the store she was following me around and constantly asking what color i was wearing and how i applied it. and asking how much the items were, and she even thought i was a prefessional makeup artist cause she said i did such a good job on myself. it made me feel good that she thought i was a professional (i get my ideas from here on specktra and seeing the FOTD's)

I usually have ladies ask me what mascara I use or what lip product I am wearing.
Typically it is when I am standing a makeup counter that someone will ask me about eye makeup. I've had a few people ask me to do their makeup right there at the counter. Makes me feel a bit weird because I am not working for that counter. I've done it about 3 x's but the rest I just tell them I have to jet. I feel bad and flatter at the same time but I've had SA's give me dirty looks.

The lady at MUFE, she keep asking me when I'll take (makeup) classes, because she told me Im already really good, but it could be a lot better (and theres a lot of things I dont know about).

I got complemented once by the sonic car hop girl! She told me the color was really pretty and what was it and I said MAC and she said, I knew it had to be MAC they have the prettiest colors.

I love when you find a MAC lover at random and they compliment you... I was at a club one night and I went into the restroom and the girl was like "MAC?" and I was like "Yeah! You too?" and we started talking about what colors we were wearing on our eyelids... haha. Other than that my boyfriend always whispers to me when we go out "her make up is put on wrong, isnt it? you spoil me"

My brother compliments my eye makeup when it's really bright. My mom compliments it all the time, but she's my mom so she has to.
Who else... My husband will compliment it if I actually point it out to him. I did special "rust and black" makeup when we went to see Silent Hill (in honor of Pyramid Head's uh, head). He really liked that. But, he always compliments me if I am wearing Parrot, or any of the Lingerie e/s. For some reason, he always notices those, which is fine since they're my favorites too.

I have had MA's at my local freestanding store compliment me. That absolutely makes my day. My supervisor always tells me how nice my e/s looks.I was at the doctors office last Thursday and the tech said 'Great eyeshadow (deep truth) by the way. A lot of people couldnt pull that off, but you are doing a great job!' AND just yesterday, a random girl at Walgreens said my MU was awesome (electric eel).
