I've really been bitten by the make-up bug recently. I just want to play ALL the time, but unfortunately, I can't, as I have work. RUBBISH.
Anyway, last night I had two options:
-Go out for a walk, in an attempt to get fit and lose some weight
-Play with make-up.
I like to think I made the right decision
This look went through various stages, haha. I started with nothing on my lips:
Then tried out a red lip:
Then a red lip with a bloom of black in the middle (I dunno why, but I tried it anyway! It makes your lips look smaller, but I think I have enough lip to spare! I was just going for really dramatic, and really vampire-esque)
Then red lips with a black centre with black lipgloss over the top:
...It kind of looks like I've been feasting on human flesh, right? Ew. But anyway, I kind of really like it. I'm hoping I get an excuse to dress up as a vampire sometime soon.
I want to re-do this look soon though, because I only did it really quickly,it probably took about 15/20 minutes to do. I wish I'd have spent more time on it, maybe neatened it up a bit, but I'm gonna have another go of it at some point.
USED
Eyes
UDPP
Sharkskin s/s
Black Tied e/s
Knight Divine e/s
Carbon e/s
Crystal Avalanch e/s (with Brule dusted over the top, as I thought that Crystal Avalanch looked too shimmery. Kind of wish I'd used a different, less intrusive highlight instead)
Smoulder eye pencil
Clinique High definition mascara
Face
NC15 studio fix mixed with white face and body (i.e. the usual)
NW35 pressed powder for contour
Prep and Prime finishing powder
Lips
Brick lipliner
Russian Red l/s
Smoulder e/l
Illamasqua's black lipgloss (which, surprisingly, smells very fruity and lovely!)
I know the fishnet trick is old news, but I've been wanting to try it for a while!
Anyway, let me know what you think and all that jazz. Constructive criticism is SO WELCOME.
Also, I tried to do a stronger brow, like was suggested in my last FOTD...I don't think I quite 'get it'. Haha. I need to try harder!
