depth of magnets for depotted items

hi,

i'm still not planning on depotting my e/s as they're too pretty in their pots. however, i would like to start depotting my blushes to make more space for all my MAC items. to be honest, i'm scared of breaking my blushes while depotting, but oh well...

anyway, i was wondering what the ideal thickness of the magnets should be for the depotted blushes? i want the magnet strips to be as thin as possible, but all i could find online till now was 1.5mm- ie this...

doesn't that sound quite thick? should i be looking for something a bit thinner?

When I depotted my e/s's, I just went to my local office supply store to buy the magnets. They had like a pack of adhesive magnet sheets that were pretty thin. They were for making your own refrigerator magnets or business card magnets to pass out to clients. Anyways, I just cut out little pieces of magnet and stuck it to the bottem of the pan. They were skinny enough to where the pan wasn't sticking out. HTH!
