I've always wanted to dye my hair a different color but my hair dresser was against it ONLY because my hair is chemically processed. I've been getting my hair chemically processed for over 7 years now and while I love my straight shiny hair i'm looking to change it up either a lighter brown or just a fun spunky color like purple or pink however my hair is a very dark brown (sometimes mistaken for black hair) . I am new to the whole realm of color treating my hair and hope someone reading this can help me out...
so since my hair is chemically treated (relaxed) do i need a developer?
I was always told that I should get a box hair dye that has no ammonia and no peroxide...is that true?
since my hair is is chemically treated...lets say I just want to do an ombre look..do i still follow the time on the box? or more or less?
I really would love to hear some opinions/ advice..
