e-Gift Cards/Certificates redeemable on MAC PRO #?

does anyone know if you can redeem a MAC eGC purchased through maccosmetics.com when you call the PRO number? maccosmetics.com says you can redeem eGCs thru their website or by calling their number, but i'm wondering if that works for the PRO number as well?

i did a board search, but i didn't find an answer yet...thanks in advance!

You can not use Gift Certificates through macpro.com.

From macpro site: M·A·C Gift Cards are only redeemable at M·A·C free-standing retail stores or when placing orders via M·A·C Customer Service at 1-800-387-6707.

that sounds like it's talking about actual Gift Cards, though, because maccosmetics.com says that their e-gift cards are specifically NOT redeemable at counter/freestanding stores, just the website and the CS phone number.

and i wasn't asking about redeeming them through MAC Pro's website as i don't have a PRO card either and i know *that* is impossible...just the phone number. which it sounds like...might be possible with normal GCs, but maybe not eGCs?
