How do you guys wear tendertones? With any other lip products or alone? Are they very sheer? TIA!

I wear them alone. Most of them are sheer, with just a hint of color, and LOTS of non-sticky shine. EZ Baby is a sort of milky pink color, and it has more coverage than most if you layer it. Certain ones like Hot and Saucy and Pucker have more obvious color, but are still sheer.

I believe 2007 and 2008 (some 2007 repromotes and a few new shades) and that's been it. Last year they brought out those crappy lip tints instead which were a total flop, and nothing this year either

I agree, it's time for more!!

I remember the lip tints.

Why did MAC do that?

Hope MAC will bring more Tendertones or something even better!

sometimes i wear them alone. they are extremely sheer though! they make good bases for gloss though. and they smell amazing!

...I like the vanilla smell of all the regular lippies, but that strawberry/kiwi/watermelony scent is just yummmmmmm....That and Creme Anglaise Cremesheen glass are part of my very small collection of backups.

yeah i was showing a friend my tendertones and she said that she'd buy them just for the yummy smell! and she never buys mac!

Funny,

I didn't like the Tendertones at all. I disliked the packaging - the tops kept coming off in my makeup bag and that drove me crazy.

I really like TLC though. That plus Aveda's lip balm. I'm not much of a lip balm person, though.

I usually wear a balm under matte l/s (Ruby Woo - go Ruby!) or if my lips are really dry.

My sister liked the TT's though.

I think she purchased every one from both collections and she never hauls make up!

Thank you, Lou! Thank you, Susanne! When the Tendertones collection came out in 2008, I had no idea what they were, and didn't even touched them at the store. Hope to see them coming back soon, so I'll have one in my purse, and one on my desktop like Susanne. It sounds so luxurious!

Glad to know that Tendertones have a lot adoring fans out there.

I curiously never got in to the Tendertones. I have seen them at CCOs a lot, but just never felt they were my style.

Erin!!! You have 21 backups of Tendertones?! Girl, I need some more tendertones!! lol jk I'm going to my CCO tomorrow to get backups of Take-A-Hint and Sweet Tooth tendertones! They are my favorites and I do wear them alone, with lipstick and with lipglass/dazzleglass/cremesheen glasses. If only tendertones were to be released soon I'll be all over them!

i have to say though i do prefer the tendertones without the 'pearl' in them. because my pucker can feel a tad gritty on my lips compared to my ez baby and purring
