I think the regular MAC Packaging is looking luxe. I like the black Packaging! It's not irritating the beautiful Colours of the Eyeshadows or Blushes.

I think that's happening because of Magazines + TV. The Girls are seeing the Makeup Artists using MAC Products!

Like when they're seeing a Louis Vuitton Bag in the Magazine, they surely want the Bag as well. Do you think Louis Vuitton is getting "candy store equivalent" of the Fashion Stores because of that?

My favourite LE Packaging was Barbie. Classic and Elegant, but also cute

Personally, I do not really care if there is no Disney, HK or any other character collection next year... I do not even care for the speciall packaging all that much - what is important is the product itself. With that said, I DO hope the follow-up collection for HK will be with better quality/more interesting products

On the other hand, I would be disappointed if there was no Vivienne Westwood collection because I would love to see what MAC would come up with for that

On the topic of luxe packaging.
In France, Mac is seen as an "outcast" brand. Not in a bad way, but MAC isn't as famous as everywhere else. So it's more of a very trendy brand, and i do think it looks classy... i mean, you can't go wrong with black packaging.
Teenagers don't really know about MAC here, they are more attracted to Urban Decay or drugstore brands.
Also, here, brands like YSL and Chanel aren't seen as very high-end luxe brands. I guess we're just too used to these brands. In fact, they are about the same price as MAC and MUFE... so yeah.
And speaking of packaging... to me, YSL looks tacky, even if their products are good quality.

On the early buzz...
I want new paintpots and new pigments. DO YOU HEAR THAT MAC? NEW PIGMENTS. Lots of them!!
I'm sorry, i'm kinda obsessed with pigments. I plan on taking a bath full of pigments one of these days... when i'll be rich enough LOL.

From what I’ve seen of the spring collection it surpasses the previous years collaboration collections- the products are awesome and different.

I agree that the collection seems better than the previous ones, but MAC has yet to release a spring collection that really interests me.

I am all about dark colors... blue, green, brown, black. I cannot get excited about pinks, corals and purples. Maybe something's wrong with me

I know my dear capmorlovesmac is going to kill me for not liking purples LOL.

I don't know if I will be interested in a second Hello Kitty.
th_dunno.gif

Sure its a smart move because it surely will sell like crazy again.. but this time I won't buy just because of the hype.

I sure don't want a second HK collection. That would be ridiculous of MAC - not because of HK, but repeating collections...
I'm going to MAC Pro this week, and i'll ask them if they know something about it.

there are 8 new crushed metal pigments- they're a different texture to the usual pigments but they are definitely pigments! There are 2 'stacks' available with 4 pigments in each.

To me, it sounds like that's going to be the Spring Color Forecast. I'm disappointed...

WTF ? Wow your makeup artist was very helpful! We could have told you more on this forum! LMAO

Girl if you're from NY then you should already know that these Manhattan based movies aren't always showing real NYC life, just like with Sex and the City.

Just because some likes a cartoon inspired theme doesn't make them any less fabulous.
And if someone is aiming for a career in fashion, then what would that have to do with a lipstick with Hello Kitty on it? Don't be a follower :p

Actually a HK2 collection would dissapointme *sigh* as it is I haven't gotten too excited about any of the recent collections. The OG hello kitty collection was pretty cool, I didn't enjoy the shadows but the lippies were great! It's too close together to repromote, maybe in another year people will want it more, I think Disney is a wonderful idea! And I know a lot of people wouldn't like it... but maybe twighlight inspired? Alice and Wonderland would be soooo great also! Idk maybe something different, I mean Dsquared2, hello kitty 2?

i love when mac does new products like this! very exciting!

It might have chunks in it due to an emollient ingredient? I remember Adina showed us a pic a while back!

I dont know about you guys but im excited to see what the designer collab. will be this year! (assuming that its not going to be Vivienne Westwood) Since i was pretty disapointed with DSquared im hoping that Mac will do a great one like McQueen or Heatherette again.
