I love being here, I missed you guys when I was away, and I think I've finally caught up on this thread and others!
I love specktra, It makes me feel normal, and has actually made me realize that I want to become a make up artist, so once I get my results from college, I'm going to do it!

i agree with lou, you'd make a great make up artist! are you going to do a course in it? i start mine on the 23rd and i'm so excited

Just chiming in on all the Specktra love!
I've only started posting recently (and haven't been doing that much lately because I've been in the process of moving), but it's so nice to have a place to talk to other makeup addicts and make friends... and to find some much-needed (or not) enabling, lol.
I lurked for a while and it seems like everyone is such great friends and I feel like I even know some of you a little bit, just from reading all the posts... Is that creepy? Maybe? Lil bit?

Ahhh, well, I actually used to live in Fort William, so I know allllll about SQA, but SQA's results was the 4th.. so last Wednesday? And the different exam systems are a bitch! I miss Highers
And thank you! I'm kinda hoping so, cause now LCF has changed its requirements for Cosmetic Science, I've got nothing to fall back on if I flop!

i can't remember when i got my results through. it was august but that's about all i remember
deary me, you miss highers? they did my head in! i had to sit higher history twice because i got a C first time round and i wanted to do a history course at uni.. yeah. but i've just graduated so i did something right

I do! I only get to sit 3 A-Levels, which take two years.. and yet you could take 5 Highers, which only take one! Wow, that must of taken a hell of a lot of determination, I couldn't study the same thing again for a whole year!

when you put it like that then yeah, they are much easier.
i was technically at college for 6th year, but i was at home most of the time. the tutors weren't great so i learned most of it by reading the textbooks and doing past papers till i was writing essays on appeasement in my sleep.
i think i looked at those courses earlier in the year, could you not get in by applying for a HND then going in at second year? that gets you out of chemistry

That sucks tbh! I'm quite lucky that I hate two of my tutors, but they do teach you. I hate past papers with a passion
I don't think so.. as there isn't a HND specific to cosmetic science
