Eyeshadow n00b

Can anyone give me some advices on eyeshadows?

I'm not keen on them (I rarely wear any) but I need to put some if I want a good make up...

I want to know the best colours for everyday make/light shades.

And the best forevening make up/weddings and occasions like that.

I think a few eyeshadows are necessary to have, and they can take you from day to night depending on ow much you apply etc.
I think you should get some MAC pans and a 4 pan pallete and select colors like: shroom, satin taupe, carbon, woodwinked, tempting, twinks, blacktied or arena even. they are very neutral colors but they work so well for day to night.

All That Glitters or Dazzlelight (but not both...try them out and see which one you like better...personally i love Dazzlelight =])

Carbon or Black Tied (Carbon is matte, Black Tied is not)

and i really like Swish, too.
