Fafi quads

Hi,

I have seen makeup with the Fafi eyes quad #2, and been very impressed with some of your mu seen here.

Is it really a must have in the fafi collection or is it something you can get rid off ?

I am a small e/s Mac collection, I think it's worth telling you as info.
Like two palettes (from holidays 07: metallics and cool) and three other e/s: blu-noir, carbon and gorgeous gold

What do you think ?

Thank you to tell me, because I can only buy MAC through internet so it's impossible for me to see the product before buying it.

And I want so much paintpots and lippie from FAfi, that I am wondering...

I don't own either Fafi quad but I heard that the Fafi eyes 2 is really pretty but most of the shadows in it are lustres and a lot of people don't like those.

I'm personally going to pass on the Fafi 2...I've been wanting the Fafi 1 quad but I'm too poor

I have both (bought one, they sent me the wrong one and sent me the right one and let me keep the other one

) and they're okay... The colors in Quad 2 aren't as vibrant (except maybe the orange) as they look in the pan. The green is very, very light and pastal. But, after playing with it I really like it and find it every workable because I can either wear them light or build them up to make them brighter.

Quad 1 I just got today and the colors are very neutral just like they look in the pan. I'm just building my MAC collection so I didn't have Vanilla or Pink Venus before so I thought this was a good way to get my eyeshadow collection started. So far, though, I really like the light colors. And the dark colors are awesome for lining.

I bought both quads, and honestly, I'd just go with the lippies and painpots. The colors in the quads don't show up that well on me, even with using a primer. They are very light and I had to use a lot of eyeshadow just to make them show up. The lip stuff, on the other hand, I use every day and I absolutely LOVE them!

I have #1 and I have played in it a few times, the colors are light but they are good for wearing to work...

I would definitely go for the paint pots, I have Perky, it is a great corally pink color, with a great creamy smooth consistency. Rollickin, is a great blue base, but the application is a little streaky, but I love the color! Nice Vice, is a great purple, with almost some coppery tones in it. Very pretty and nice consistency, it is kind of similar to the reddish paint pot, but more purple. I bought them because they are colors not found in the permanent line and I am very happy with them.

I also bought the Quad #2 and I really like it as well. You really have to pack on the eyeshadow and use a base to get it to show up really bright, but if you are going for a light look then they work great! The only thing that really bothers me about this quad is that because the colors are Lustre they tend to flake, and the packaging is a shiny black plastic...so the inside of my quad always looks super messy...and this really bothers me! But other than that I was pretty happy with it.

I passed on all the lipsticks, they just looked really glittery and I don't like gritty feeling lip products. The colors are gorgeous and I see them on other people and they look great! I also passed on the Lip Glasses except for Sugar Trance. I picked it up because it was what the MA had used in my makeup that day..but I think it is probably easily duped, so I'm glad that I B2M'd for it.

I lurve the Fafi eyes 2 quad! The colors make for a pretty, springy look. I was on the fence about it until I saw aboywearingmakeup's youtube tutorials on it. He has two different ones using the quad. He used lucky jade shade stick to emphasize the green shade, and perky paint pot to emphasize the coraly salmon one.

ITA watching his TUTs helped me keep the second quad. I am still on the fence about the first one, to me I can get the same look with other colors I have. Otherwise the items that best for me are the ones that are sold out on-line, which leads me to believe that those colors work for everyone else outside of my NC-45 colorscope as well.

Using bases such as the paint pots and shadesticks really do help those colors build and show up.

I have quad 2 ...I don't really like it. I will keep it cuz i hate returnign things lol ..and I like to collect ..but frankly don't see myself using it that often. The green and highlight colors are lustres and they get everywhere omg ... I was super excited about this quad ..but I just disapointed with it. THats just me ..I will probablly try and use it so it doesnt rot ..but im just over the fafi eyes 2 quad.

the paint pots on the other hand are awesome ..I have all the colors and am im glad i got them.

Okay I think I have made up my mind. I am going to take #2 quad...

I still hesitate for the first one though...

Is the darker shade similar to blu-noir or easier to use and work ?
And is pink venus similar to Medaillon, a shadow for the cool holiday palette '07 ??

I need to know quick because I am buying them on ebay, and the auction for the #1 quad is ending soon !

ive got the 2nd fafi quad, i love it. its quite a summery feel, ive work the light creamy colour with the orangey peach and i got so many compliments, i would defo reccommend it. the 1st quad is okay, but i would defo say if youre gonna get one to get the 2nd one

I liked quad 1 but I didn't bought it because I have similar shadows. Quad 2 is definitively not for me.
I only bought Girl friendly paint pot, perfect for going to office and for my neutral pink shadow.

get the lipsticks and a matching gloss. you cant go wrong with utterly frivolous! i love my fun n sexy!

the eyeshadow palettes are okay. i think quad 1 is more colour payoff than quad 2. quad 1 is more wearable and a quickie for late days. you really gotta pack on the powder for quad 2. for beginners, i'd go for quad 1. i'd get 1 irridescent powder as well. i love my sassed up + hipness blush.

definitely get paintpots. you cant go wrong with perky

I got the Fafi Eyes #2, played with it at home and returned it. The only one colour i liked was the orange one. The green and golden ones are really hard to see, very light.

But the lipsticks and lipglasses are just awesome! I LOVE my Not So Innocent, High Top, Sugar Trance and Cult Fave. BP and paintpots are ok. Good luck and have fun!
