Fake 190 Brush ???

Hi,

I hope you can help. I have bought a MAC 190 brush of someone, who assured me that the brush was real and it was also still in the wrapper with the barcode (although I have to admit that this is not really proof that it is genuine

).

Anyway, the brush has arrived, still in its wrapper, but I have compared it to my 187 brush and some things are slightly concerning:

1. The 190 does not have a country of origin on it. Are there any real MAC brushes that do not have the country of origin on it?

2. The lettering does not come off easily, in fact I have applied quite a bit of pressure to my nail and everything is still intact.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmm, the lettering not rubbing off seems a little suspicious, can you post pictures for us? That would help us a lot in helping you figure out if it is real or not.

I'm not sure about the country of origin on the brushes, of course all the brushes have them but maybe it was an old brush?? I don't know but it seems highly unlikely to me that the country of origin wouldn't be on there.
As for the lettering, it shouldn't come off with scratching or trying to chip it off... it only wears off with wear and tear and constant use.

Post a picture of the brush, that might help some brush experts on specktra to help you.

I have an old 116 brush which I bought at a MAC store a while ago, and it does not have country of origin on it (I have it in my hands now).. I don't know if this is a requirement (as I look at my brushes -- some do not have any country of origin on them..and all were bought from MAC directly)

I have a new 190 and it does not have the country of origin stamped on it either and it is direct from MAC. I also have a 209 direct from MAC that does not have the country stamp. Both of the sleeves state that they are made in the USA so maybe it has something to do with USA made brushes not all having the country stamp?

My 190 doesn't have the country stamp either. I got mine through a CP from a very legitimate person and they got it from the CCO for me.
