Any color recommendations for filling in dark (black) eyebrows? MAC or other just something with good staying power.

You could fill it in with brun e/s or carbon e/s. I'm asian and I have black hair. Some times I just mix carbon and espresso eyeshadow, but I just got brun because the color is basically a mix of carbon and espresso

I just started doing this and have been using Showstopper e/s. The only problem is that I touch my face a lot and sometimes end up with smudgies.. bad bad... maybe I will try dipdown fluidline! Looking forward to hearing other recs.

well, my eyebrows aren't exactly black, they're dark brown. I use Benefit Browsing in Dark to fill them. To be honest I don't even do it all the time as I'm lazy but I do like this product.

^ Agreed, or at the very least use Carbon mixed with a warmer brown colour.

I've heard of people using Dipdown fluidline as well.

My brows are off-black but I feel like black powder is WAAAAAAAAAY to harsh on me. I actually like using medium toned browns to soften the look.

I recently changed my hair color completely and that required a new color for brows... since my hair was light blonde, I had no problems using blonde pencils or brow powders as long as they were not reddish. With my new color, which is natural grey/black/platinum, I went from one product to another -- some were too light, others too reddish, or too yellowish... and it looked awful

. I finally found my combination! I use the UDPP and fill in with the Anastasia MEdium Ash combo -- the dark part is like a dark brown with no reddish tones. Or, I use the UDPP and pencil with a Clinique pencil in soft black, and then use a Sable gel on top of that. My eyebrows have been a problem ever since they were naturally strawberry blonde

My and hair brows are very dark but I don't fill them black. I'm using MAC Brow Shader in Ivoire/Walnut.

I tried using Dipdown fluidline this morning, but I think it is too light. My brows are black, an they are very dense towards the outside, but sparse on the inside, so now they look like they go from brown to black across my face

Any other suggestions?

I will check it out.. I may try my regular black eyeliner first... just to see.. I am worried about it looking really harsh.. as it is I am not even used to the dark brown. I have never filled in my brows before.

I read somewhere that Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencils are equal to Macs brow pencils.
I haven't tried either though. Can anybody compare the two?
