So today I decided to make up for my little break from make-up, and I did two looks in one day.
Being as everyone keeps on recreating cut-crease looks, I decided to hop on the band wagon and try it myself. I did it using Chrome Yellow and Carbon, as whenever I do this look with a normal crease, it never looks right, so I thought I'd try it with a cut crease to see how it turned out.
I didn't like it all too much, but never mind. I did this look for school today (I had to go back into my old school to FINALLY finish off applying for unis this year. It was quite strange going back, and seeing all my old teachers, but whatevs)
I feel like it looks too...harsh and angry. I'm really not a fan of this look on me, so any constructive criticism for how I can pull of a cut crease would be much appreciated.
Anyway, on with the show:
I realise my skin looks horrendously discoloured, and my eyeshadow looks unblended. It wasn't, I promise. I just don't think mattes show up too well with my phone camera.
USED
Eyes
UDPP
Painterly p/p
Chrome Yellow e/s
Smut e/s
Carbon e/s
Nylon e/s
Shroom e/s
Bobbi Brown gel liner in Sapphire ink (or something. I couldn't find my Blacktrack, haha)
Clinique High definition mascara
Face
Normal stuff. Cba writing it all out.
Lips
Dior lipliner (forget the colour)
Profusion lipstick
Brown-ish lipgloss
So after I went to school, I went to the opticians, as I really need to get some new glasses. My old frames are pretty much broken after my friend stood on them.
So I was looking at all the moderately priced frames (£70/£80. I dunno how much that is in dollars...maybe $120?), and although they were NICE, none of them were AMAZING.
Then I saw something sparkly in the corner of my eye, and I saw the most beautiful pair of glasses I've EVER seen.
I tried them on, and they were just FANTASTIC.
Then I saw they were Prada, and my heart sank a little bit as I reached for the price tag. £329. That's over $500.
Honestly, it was heartbreaking.
Look at them:
See all those little black rhinestones? They're so fantastically sparkly.
I need these glasses, girls. I honestly do.
ANYWAY.
After my little depressing trip to the opticians (which I still cannot spell by the way), I went home and started getting ready for the pub, as my mate is back from uni this weekend, and we were going out.
So this is the make-up I did for that:
USED
Eyes
UDPP
Non-Conformist fluidline
Violet pigment
Grape pigment
Solar white e/s
Indian Ink e/s
Satellite Dreams e/s
Fuscia pigment
Crystal Avalanch e/s
Blacktrack Fluidline (found it!)
Fly-By-Blu (I think that's the name) Glittery eyeliner from...that recent collection...Hah
Blue Flame e/s
Prussian powerpoint e/l
Clinique high definition mascara.
Face
Same as normal
Lips
Dervish l/l
Chatterbox l/s
Random pink gloss.
Anyhow...that's it. Constructive criticism is SO welcome, especially for the first look.
And also...if anyone feels like donating to the 'Get Niamh those Prada glasses' fund, let me know!
