I'm in search of a foundation that doesn't feel like a mask, and doesn't break me out. My skin is fairly oily, and I don't know where to find a good foundation that wouldn't make me break out. It really blows =(.

TIA

i have oily acne-prone skin & i've tried a bazillion different foundations in my search for the perfect one from liquid to powder to mineral & they all basically end the same way...i have to blot a few times during the day with oil absorbing sheets & carry around my MAC blot powder for touchups. i've learned to just deal with my crappy skin & theres no magic foundation to make it better

thats just my discovery though...i can't live without blotting papers/powder! good luck!

How is Select Tint? What about Studio Fix?
I've read about people breaking out because of it, and I'm a bit too scared to try it. I tried Biotherm, and I realized that it eventually broke me out =(. The only thing that hasn't broken me out is Quo's tinted moisturizer, but it's too sheer, and sometimes I need a better coverage, and I can't build up the coverage with it. This totally sucks cause I used to have pretty decent skin. *sigh

select tint acts as a tinted moisturiser, you can set it up with blot powder if you want a bit more coverage.

I have oily skin and I love everyday minerals! You can order a sample kit for free but you need to pay the shipping.
If you don't like powder, try select tint (which I also love!) I use blot powder over select tint

I'm a Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free freak myself. This along with pressed blot powder is part of my makeup routine. I prefer it to Select Tint that would break me out on occasion.

I always had oily skin as a teenager. I am now in my ... ahem .... mid forties and I STILL have oily skin! I've tried just about every kind of foundation ... powder, liquid, blah, blah, blah. Right now I'm using Everday Minerals. I've found it really doesn't matter what foundation I use. The key is to use Smashbox's Photo Finish primer. It is fabulous! It keeps the shine away and the makeup stays put. Another problem I always had was that blush would kind of darken or change color as the day went on because of my oily skin. With Smashbox's Photo Finish blush stays true to color.

I use Shiseido Powdery Foundation and let me tell you, I am in love! Velvety matte smooth finish, light to medium coverage, can be used dry or wet, soft and weightless. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

All right, I purchased Studio Fix last night... and if this doesn't work out, I'm gonna have to give Shiseido a try. I'm sooo sick of this though. Like will covering my skin up make things worse and then I'll have to rely on foundation? =/.

Any more recommendations for the best foundation!?

I was in a toss-up between Clinique Perfectly Real [powder/compact] or MAC Studio Fix. But since Clinique was having a bonus gift offer, i got sucked in and when for that. The MU looks really soft but still covers well [IMO]... I've got combo skin and very prone to break outs. I'm back on meds right now so things should be fine. However I haven't used the compact consistently enough to test break-out-ness. It does give a really nice "almost perfect" skin look for me.

Another really nice choice [although not as heavy coverage] would be PHysicians Formula Mineral Loose Powder. It goes on heavier than it looks and is ok coverage for most days and for sure it doesn't 'break me out.

If you're looking for a liquid my current fav right now is ALMAY'z Clear Complexion MU in the glass bottle. The desgin is awkard, the opening of the bottle is way to big but the product is great. Natural coverage but does tend to be slightly drying [unless you have extremely oily skin].

Well thats my 2cents. Let me know how Studio Fix goes!

I have really sensitive, oily skin and my HGs are Estee Lauder Doublewear liquid and Prescriptives Anywear Podwer. I recommend removing with Cleansing oil - I like MAC - and using a BHA product to make sure pores stay clear. This has been my routine for a year or so now and my skin has NEVER looked better.
