Try-On Pacs of all varieties haven't been sold in AU for a couple of years because of very poor intial sales. If you want them sold here, send an email to MAC or Estee Lauder and ask for them to be re-introduced. They'll only come back into distribution if you campaign for them.

Thanks Lara, I'm definitely going to email them. I think these babies would sell like hotcakes!

I've done a bit of research but I've only been able to come up with a few things.

There's this ebay auction with a Studio Stick Try on Pac:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Mac-Try-On-P...QQcmdZViewItem

Another asian website mentioning them:
http://www.xpweekly.com/share/xpweek...06/content.htm

Then I found a Malaysian website wher someone posted in October 2005 that they had bought "the try-on pac from mac today which consist of mac studio-fix powder plus foundation, select coverup concealer, makeup base, concealer brush n the demi-wipes to remove makeup....for rm150 ".

I get the feeling this may have been an asian exclusive?

I spotted these in the update book at my local store and they are an asian exclusive which is a real shame because I'd have loved one!!!

Just in case someone was thinking of bidding on it, email the seller first about where the Studio Stick is in the pack! Only the Strobe Cream, 194 Se brush and demi-wipes are mentioned and pictured.

But I hope these are released - these look great!

that does sound like a good idea...i wish these were a north american release. i like the idea of some sort of foundation "set" that allows us to try the various types, to see which we like the best. it seems like it really would boost sales, in the long run. then again, i thought the try-on pacs were a good idea, and they apparently weren't very hot sellers, according to my favorite MA. le sigh.
