Oh I do too!! This & Chanel are my major splurges this holiday!!

Mine too Vee. I need just one more CL lippie (that's in addition to my backordered RL,M) and then this & Chanel---like you. Then I have to focus on our home project
because it's huge and will require my time, attention & $$$$.

Looks like this time around the meteorites are priced at $80 and Rouge G $55 (last year it was $63 and $53??). The rest are priced similar to last years. And voyage compact $179!!
Wulong was $170 back in 2012 and I remember buying it at $180 because of the tax. At least the $179 price tag is a teeny bit better than the original $214 (Canadian price?) but the tax will be killer depending on the state/region. I still can't get over the print. It looks like a cross between the violettes powder and a leftover piece of the Madame Batifole collection. My guess for the meteorites to be priced at $80 could be based either on the packaging or how much meteorite pearls are in the tin similar to the pricing of the Perles du Paradis. Everything is getting more expensive. U_U

I don't mind the higher price for the Meteorites; it's the only item I'm going to buy from the collection. I buy so little now that I don't care if individual prices are higher, within reason (the powder isn't within reason to me).

I love holiday collections, palettes, etc. I'm only planning on buying one eyeshadow palette (I don't need any but love them), the pearls, a MAC CSG set or two and maybe UD Ocho Loco 3 if there is such a thing.

I still want them----in fact, the more I see them, the more I want them!!!:sigh:
Still want them too!! I was going to skip the compact, but after all the splurges what's one more pricey compact.

So, the Rouge G is the permanent Georgia? I don't think I can pull it off.

I just looked it up, whilst pretty, I don't l know if I like it enough, considering I just bought Geraldine the other day and it seems somewhat similar/in the same colour family.

If they were going to repackage a permanent shade, I wish it had been 71 Girly instead!

These are some swatches I found of Georgia:

Georgia is very pretty, but I had hoped it was going to be a new shade. I'm not forking out all that money for a lipstick I already own just for the packaging. :eek:hboy:

Oh, I kinda like it but I find that I'm just not drawn strongly to any more Guerlain lipsticks.

Hmmmm, looking like it'll just be the pearls and the pretty, shimmery top coat lip gloss for me. I'll likely throw most of my $$$ at Chanel Rouge Noir this year.

On a side note can you believe people that the Guerlain palette is the same price (for Canadian) as the Hourglass highlight-blush palette. Hum hum Hourglass, guess where my money going this year! :p
I find that Guerlain are the smartest brand when it comes to a Canadian pricing strategy. Unlike a lot of brands who just do a blanket increase based on the exchange rate, Guerlain obviously tweaks the prices of individual items. Clearly, they realised that claiming the same margin on Canadian sales would bump the price over $100, which would likely be a mental "breaking point" for people thinking of purchasing. Now, when you do comparisons like the one with Hourglass, the Guerlain one looks like a better value.

I'm confused. Isn't the shade name 967 Merveilleux Rose? Why would there be two different names and numbers for one Rouge G, that doesn't even make sense. I don't know that I believe it is 62 Georgia. I guess we'll find out when it releases.

was wondering the same. Unless there are two different versions for UK & US, I dont think it is 62 georgia!

How do you like Geraldine? It's one of my favorite pink lipsticks!! I missed out on Greta and would have liked
that as an option. They should have made several shades available in this holiday packaging!!!

She's also showing the Canadian price for the voyage powder. To be honest, she just puts together the info she finds elsewhere (and doesn't credit her sources), so I don't trust her info one bit.
